In the years I’ve been helping Survivors find a pathway just beyond the devastating pain and grief, I have to tell you… I’ve had some pretty unfortunate stories shared with me, regarding prior attempts to get grief direction and support. Whether it’s being told to pack up daughter’s items and not mention her going forward, the dulling of senses and emotions through unnecessary medication, being inappropriately labelled with some illness, the counselor/therapist tearing up in the session and saying I don't know how you do it, and the counselor/therapist having nothing substantive to offer in any of their sessions - merely an always handy box of tissues... And then there was the one that involved being handed a light bulb, and asked what thoughts she had about the light bulb she was holding…
I’ve heard over and over how those, having courageously overcome whatever angst, doubt, and/or fear in their path, in an effort to try to get real help... And, for one reason or another, it didn’t work out… With the Survivor feeling in no way did he or she move forward... Just the opposite sometimes, feeling like the only steps taken were back... And even worse in some occasions, with some Survivors thinking they are the ones to blame and/or the results experienced are reflective of pretty much all that grief relief and grief recovery have to offer.

Well, if that sounds pretty familiar… If you’re one of those who've tried to no avail in the past… Or if you’re currently getting support, but feeling the results are mildly effective at best… My message for you is simple…
DON’T GIVE UP !
KEEP SEARCHING !
FIND SOMEONE ELSE !
Much like virtually any other profession or service you can name – whether doctor, teacher, minister or auto mechanic… All Grief Support Is Not The Same. And Neither Are All Resources Offering The Same.
Don’t just accept things as they are. Don’t fall into the dreaded perspective that if you haven’t found an answer yet, an answer must not exist. I’m here to tell you there are answers out there for you… There is help for you if you’re truly open to it - and willing to make the necessary commitment on behalf of getting there. So, keep searching until you find someone who works for you. After all, you deserve nothing less. And my guess is your lost loved one, looking in on you from above, feels much the same.
And just remember... Nothing changes until the required change begins to be fostered within you...

And my personal mission is to fundamentally alter the attitudes, conversation and ingrained beliefs associated with death of loved ones - freeing Survivors of devastating loss (like yourself) to stop merely surviving in the shadows, burying their feelings for fear of negative perceptions and forfeiting years of their lives to debilitating pain, heartache, loneliness, guilt, sorrow and hopelessness. Further, my purpose is to help people begin to learn what’s necessary to finally escape all-consuming grief - and cease forfeiting months (and years even) of their lives. In addition, seeking to foster the rebuilding of relationships with surviving loved ones, the reclaiming of hope and the desire to live again, and last but certainly not least, the honoring of, and living for, lost loved ones...
